Dr. Hinman is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and has had extensive training and experience at the doctoral level in the supervision of Limited License Counselors (LLCs). His training meets the Michigan Administrative Rule R 338.1757 guidelines for supervisors which went into effect 1/1/13.
Feedback will be provided to supervisees on a regular basis in the form of case review and consultation. Periodic feedback may be warranted on such areas as skill development, progress notes, assessment and unique client issues. As your supervisor, Dr. Hinman may maintain some documentation relevant to our supervision sessions. The content of Dr. Hinman’s supervision notes and formal evaluations belong to Dr. Hinman and will be shared with supervisees at his discretion and/or upon the request of the supervisee. Supervisees are required to maintain a monthly log of their hours. Logs should document the number of direct and indirect hours.
Supervisees will be expected to remain compliant with ethical codes of the American Counseling Association and American Psychological Association and adhere to the laws of the Michigan Public Health Code and the Administrative Rules of the Michigan Board of Counseling and Michigan Board of Psychology. Supervisees will also be expected to attend supervision sessions on time, and be prepared with an agenda.
The fee for an individual supervision session is $80 for a 50 minute session. The fee for a group session is $60 per person per 1.5 hour session.
