Supervised Counseling

Dr. Brad Hinman is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with advanced doctoral-level training and extensive experience in the supervision of Limited License Counselors (LLCs). His supervision meets the Michigan Administrative Rule R 338.1757 guidelines for approved supervisors, effective January 1, 2013.

As a clinical supervisor, Dr. Hinman provides regular, structured feedback through case reviews, consultation, and professional development. Areas of focus may include skill-building, client assessment, progress notes, and navigating unique clinical issues. Supervision is tailored to support growth while maintaining high ethical and professional standards.

Supervisees are expected to:

  • Maintain accurate logs of direct and indirect counseling hours.

  • Stay compliant with the ethical codes of the American Counseling Association and American Psychological Association.

  • Follow the laws of the Michigan Public Health Code and administrative rules set by the Michigan Board of Counseling and Michigan Board of Psychology.

  • Arrive on time, prepared, and engaged for all scheduled supervision sessions.

Rates:

  • Individual supervision: $80 for a 50-minute session

  • Group supervision: $60 per person for a 90-minute session
